About Captain:
Born and raised on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, Captain Austin Goodwin comes from a long line of Harkers Island and Cedar Island watermen whose lives were built around the water. Growing up commercial fishing alongside his father and grandfather, Austin developed a deep understanding of the local waters at an early age — knowledge that now translates into authentic and highly productive charter experiences on the Crystal Coast.
Today, Captain Austin has earned a strong reputation as one of the area’s premier inshore and nearshore guides, specializing in trophy red drum, cobia, Atlantic bonito, and seasonal coastal species. Known for his calm demeanor, local knowledge, and relentless time on the water, Austin combines generations of fishing tradition with modern equipment and techniques to consistently put clients on fish.
